Michael Hyatt’s Platform

Michael Hyatt‘s new book, Platform, Get Noticed in a Noisy World, was our topic of discussion on the EntreLeadership Podcast today. Mike is one of my heroes in the whole blog/social media/marketing world, so I’m really excited to be able to share this with you!

The book is all about building a social media platform in a world that is moving that direction at lightning speed. For a great example of that, check out Social Media Revolution. It will blow your mind!

We must understand that traditional marketing is becoming archaic. Nowadays people have so many options to choose from, it’s easy for your message to get lost. Worse than that, you might be promoting to the wrong crowd.

Here are just a few of the things we will be talking about today:

  • How to build your social media platform. Michael shares how he built his platform to more than 300,000 unique visitors a month on MichaelHyatt.com, 123,000 Twitter followers, and more than 11,000 Facebook followers.
  • The importance of social media for every business. So many companies think social media isn’t necessary. But Mike will share how social media can help you make a much bigger splash in your marketplace for considerably less money.
  • How to make your message better and separate it from the noise. It’s not that we need more messages from each company — we just need the right ones.
  • How to build a tribe to carry your message further than you can. With the advent of the social media environment came what is now called the tribe — the folks who believe in your product so much that they are excited to tell others about it.

It’s a powerful interview for leaders and owners who are looking to spread their message on a much larger scale.

Platform is a must-read for all leaders and owners. Not only is it an amazing book, Mike is also giving away $375.98 to everyone who buys a copy this week and e-mails him the receipt. Learn about that here.

[stextbox id="grey"]

And because it’s a must-have book, I am giving away five copies AND the extra $375.98 worth of extras! In order to qualify, you must first:

  1. Leave a comment below by answering the question.
  2. Fill out the contact form. Don’t put your mailing info in the comment.

Question: Why do you want a copy of Platform?

  • http://www.BaptistEducation.org/ JoshuaWRivers

Listened to the audio of Platform, and now going through the book to pick some more meat off the bones. Trying to build my blog and Twitter following. My site is JoshuaRivers.net and my focus is on leadership, education, personal growth, and web design. Trying to build a list of recommended links. If you would like your site included, follow me on Twiiter (@JoshuaWRivers) and send me the address. Thanks!

Why do I want a copy of this book?  For the last seven months, I have been immersed in a project with my company to write – create – develop a curriculum for loan professionals within our company to be trained, equipped and certified to handle with excellence the mortgage home loan needs of our active duty and former military clients, after which they receive the designation of “Military Mortgage Specialist™”.  Over 150 individuals have now gone through this training beginning with a two day Boot Camp, which is followed by a 90 day coaching, mentoring, training period.

As the director of this program, I feel it is my responsibility to guide and coach this group (and the 100 others planning to attend in next few months) in building a platform in their respective marketplaces around the USA as the mortgage professionals who will go the extra mile and do whatever it takes for our military and veteran clients.   I plan to use this book as a war manual in leading this group as they get their boots on the ground to serve those who serve.

Awesome interview! It inspired me to start a blog yesterday– but I need Platform to take me to the next level to be a savvy social media user, integrating everything seamlessly! Choose me for the free copy: I’m ready to take action! Thank you. Brian

As the comments listed below state, this looks to be another great leadership book.  How many books do mostly people read in a year or month?  Over the last several months I have just started digging into reading leadership books to grow, and have beeen reading 2-3/month and i have now slowed to a more reasonable pace of 1/month.  What are others doing?

    • Colby Stream

@Wade_Thorson Nonfiction I teas about 2 a month. Since Jan I’ve read 26 books, but most of those are jan and feb when the weather wasn’t great and I went on a reading spree.

I aim for one nonfiction a month. That’s what my wife agreed I could buy, at least :) I also read numerous blogs and listen to a lot of podcasts.

    • http://LouiseThaxton.Net/ LouiseThaxton

@Wade_ThorsonI usually average one book per week – goal is always 52 books in a year.  IThis year, my goal is 100 books!  Charlie Trememdous Jones quote “The only difference in where you will be in 5 years is the books you read and the people you meet….”!

  • Wade_Thorson

Thanks for the interview.  This topic has been something I have been thinking about for a while but not exactly sure what it meant.  The Platform looks to be a great read that will definitely be on my reading list.  I have had several opportunities in my company that I haven’t taken advantage of in regards to a platform.  I think this book will definitley help jump start my development in the areas of communication that I have been lacking.

  • Colby Stream

I finished it today. It was great! My pastor asked if he could borrow it. I sooo can’t wait to put my information in the front flap, give it to him and ask him to to the same when he’s done!

  • http://LouiseThaxton.Net/ LouiseThaxton

BTW – I ordered both hardback and Kindle and sent receipts but never got the e-mail for the free gifts – any idea?  Or did anyone else have a challenge with this? And about to listen to podcast….

    • Colby Stream

@LouiseThaxton How long has it been since you sent the receipt? I know Michael had a lot of subscriptions this week, which puts a tax on your system. Also, you might check your spam folder, just in case.

      • http://LouiseThaxton.Net/ LouiseThaxton

@Colby Stream Thanks, Colby!  I posted on Michael Hyatt’s blog – told him the problem (I had already checked my spam folder) – and within a few minutes, I had the link!  Thanks!

        • Colby Stream

           @LouiseThaxton Great to hear!

  • http://LouiseThaxton.Net/ LouiseThaxton

I couldn’t wait to purchase the book – it has been on my “waiting to purchase” for some time now!  The last time I heard Michael Hyatt speak – he talked about “platform” – and even then, I was excited and couldn’t wait for it to be be in print!  Thanks for sharing such rich and valuable content!

  • http://www.writingassessment.com/ CindyMarsch

Great inspiration! I have been teaching writing on the Internet since 1995, when I typed up my first website html code by hand and took the ramp when AOL went unlimited. I’ve built my part-time business from a $200 investment back then to $24,000 this year. Education is one of the greatest potentials of the Internet, and I’m ready to take the next ramp up. This EntreLeadership podcast has lit the rockets–summer, here I come!

    • http://www.writingassessment.com/ CindyMarsch

That’s gross revenue this year, by the way, but I don’t have much overhead. :-)

    • http://www.writingassessment.com/ CindyMarsch

Oh, and I didn’t hear the podcast until Saturday morning, May 26, just after Michael Hyatt’s original bonus offer expired last night!

    • http://www.writingassessment.com/ CindyMarsch

First comment on my FB wall after this post went up — a friend said she bought the book!  The platform is working and I want the book so I can learn more! :-D

  • Wade_Thorson

Thanks for the interview, this will definitely be on my reading list.  I have recently been exploring the benefits of utilizing the social media to get heard and finding any way possible to speak to groups.  Word of mouth spreads a lot faster than any great advertising.

I want to get a copy of this book because ever since the EntreLeadership podcast has started I have continually listened to each podcast carefully and usually several times.  I continually learn ways to develop my team and my leadership methods.  One key way I have been doing this over the last 8 months is to read as many books as possible.  One of my weaknessess is communication so I need to work on developing that platform at multiple levels: at a personal level, to my team, to the company, and for the company.  This book could help me jump start that process.

Great EntreLeadership podcast with Michael Hyatt.  I have been running my business by referral for the past 6 years and there is nothing more effective then marketing to your home base, utilize the influence of that home base to expand your reach, and then building your relationships with those people and engaging them with your passion.  We have dropped all traditional marketing techniques and we instead use those resources to turn our base into advocates for what we do.  I have better clients and I was able to strive instead of survive the economic hardships over the past 5 years.  Thanks for your insights, assurance, and ideas.

  • Sam

Oh man, another book to go buy… you do know I cannot read this fast :) .  The Stack is getting bigger then I can ‘Process’ it :) .  Maybe I should take a speed-reading course.

(sarcasm) I am calling for a 90-day moratorium on book recommendations and author interviews on this blog and podcast (/sarcasm).

    Thank you!

I would like a copy of ‘Platform’ because I am soon ready to start my own blog, join a social network that I will be regurlarly on and give information that people could find beneficial to the same interests I have.

  • ColinH80

I am using social media to hopefully change industries probably and get a job in social media. Michael is a king of content and platform and I can use this to really help me gain an edge and hopefully acquire this job. This book and resources could be huge for my future!

  • http://specializingintheimpossible.wordpress.com/ Laura Johnson

I have been in the world of business for only a few years and have worked to develop myself (one way, by reading this blog :) ) so I can help business owners and leaders down the road.
Michael Hyatt’s book seems to come at the perfect time for me. 2012 I have gone through counseling with my wonderfully amazing pastor and loving supportive husband, for events and even choices on my part that completely shattered my life. I have experienced what repentance and forgiveness really mean, and what it really feels/looks like to know a loving God. What I have gone through has been too sensitive to write about on my blog, but I feel like God may be calling me to write about it; even speak about it. Only a couple years ago would I have never dreamed of speaking. I took writing courses through the Christian Writers Guild, so I have an idea what kind of work all this may entail. A past of shame may receive reactions we cringe at, but if sharing gives others hope… If sharing leads someone to eternal life, then it is worth it. Obviously the road I am considering requires a lot of thinking and praying on my part before I start down it. And I believe Michael Hyatt’s book will give me info I need. LOVE the opportunity. (btw Chris, I couldn’t wait to find out if I happened to qualify for your gift–has to have it, so I bought it on Amazon. Thanks anyway!)

    • http://LouiseThaxton.Net/ LouiseThaxton

@Laura Johnson Laura – I don’t know the road you have traveled – but I do know – as you – what repentance and forgiveness really mean.  And if God is calling you to transparency with whatever your life experiences are – then, fellow commenter, I will join with you in prayer, as I know others will, for the right time and the right way to do what He has called you to do.

      • http://specializingintheimpossible.wordpress.com/ Laura Johnson

@LouiseThaxton Thank you! You have no idea how encouraging your comment is! Yesterday I was attempting to work on my “project” and I was emotionally overwhelmed, my entire body feeling sick. My husband reminded me I am forgiven. I have regrets, but there are three things I wouldn’t trade for the world: the capability of growing closer to my husband on a deeper level, truly knowing what it is to be in the love of God, and an opportunity to help save others. My struggle yesterday reminded me that if this is something God wants me to do, Satan’s going to do everything he can to stop it. I need to fight! Every part needs to be saturated with prayer. I know through the process I will feel complete misery at times. But the victory in the end will be worth it all–no matter how long it takes! I think on a small level I understand Paul when he writes about finding joy in suffering…

        • http://epicenterlanguages.com.mx/our-blog Aaron Nelson

@Laura Johnson  @LouiseThaxton We all have things that are harder to share with others than others. I hope that encourages you. Nobody out there is squeaky clean – we are being made that way though.

Part of finding freedom is coming into the light. But I wonder Laura, if what you want to  share should be shared in public? I wonder if what you want to share needs to be shared in stages? Maybe you only need to share with your home group. (if you have one.) Maybe what you need to share only needs to be shared with your church.  I guess what I want to say here: seek Godly council before you open up too wide, too soon. If you feel God is leading you to share widely, go for it. But be sure before you do. Not everyone is ‘safe’ to share with. Know what I mean?

Not meant to inspire fear. I have exposed myself when I felt led to do so – but not to just anybody. And I did make sure my ‘spiritual advisors’ were in agreement with the share before I shared it.  Hope this helps you.

        • http://LouiseThaxton.Net/ LouiseThaxton

@Laura Johnson  I am reminded of Psalm 51, King David’s prayer of repentence - and he prays “….
“Restore to me the  joy of Your salvation
And sustain me with a willing spirit.  Then I will  teach transgressors Your ways,And sinners will be  converted to You…..” This reminds me of you!

        • http://specializingintheimpossible.wordpress.com/ Laura Johnson

@LouiseThaxton Thanks for the verse! :)

        • http://specializingintheimpossible.wordpress.com/ Laura Johnson

@Aaron Nelson  Aaron, thank you for your concerns :)  I really do appreciate it.
I am doing everything I can to approach things in an appropriate way. If I go all the way with this idea, there will still be fragments not shared with the public (for example, to protect others). Part of what I’m considering involves writing a book, so realistically it will take a couple years before the possibility of speaking even comes into the picture. Publishing a book and speaking is what I feel like God wants me to do. But I also know, it being a lengthy process (not accomplished over night), there will be time for many questions to be answered, including whether or not this is something I really should do. Even if I realize in the end that I’m not supposed to publicly speak, going through this process will help me heal, and help me know better how to help others :)
Rarely does anything in life go the way I think it will!
          Thanks again, Aaron!!

        • cabinart

           @Aaron Nelson  Very wise words.

  • pclarkson

Our firm is in a very traditional line of work with a very old and traditional clientele. But that clientele’s children are coming and we’ve got to be ready. I’ve been asked to look at other forms of media and marketing that can be used to keep us up-to-day while still keeping with those traditional values. I think Platform is an essential read for me.

  • AndrewLong

I continue to love the podcast!  My only complaint is that the podcast has been so good, I’ve gotten a lot more out of it then I did the book.  Don’t let Dave know.  Keep up the great work and the amazing interviews.  Any chance you can get Daniel Pink or Malcolm Gladwell for an interview?

  • http://epicenterlanguages.com.mx/our-blog Aaron Nelson

So I have a few questions to throw out about the first half of the interview where Dave Ramsey was talking about the steps/stages involved in making a ‘non-pushy’ sale.
(Thank you for some info on sales!! More pretty pleeeeeaaaseee with gumballs on top!)

Qualify: Do they have the $, time, need/want, decision making power. Question: would qualifying the lead for the cash part be them asking for your prices, you sending, and they not walking? (I’m in – at times – complex Business to Business sales)   And how do you tactfully ask if the person is the decision maker?

Rapport and Education – any suggested time frames for this? Ballpark ideas here – I know it will vary for each.

What if you’ve followed those steps, and then try to close – but nothing happens? Is there a stage you should naturally drop back to and recycle through again to help ‘pull’ the sale vs push?

And finally, how do you do this when you’re in crunch time? When it’s sink or swim? I know that is where it’s vital to have and be building your platform – and pipeline. Just thinking of the Entreleadership podcast (Decision making based on values I think)  story of when you had to drop a major radio station due to them asking for millions.

You just didn’t go out and have new ops plop in front of you, did you? How long did it take to move through the stages for your new prospects?

    Sorry for a billion questions!

I ended up BUYING THE KINDLE VERSION OF THE BOOK! Now I can read it on my Kindle everywhere I go, I can read it on my Desktop PC, and on my MacBook Pro! Oh yea! I am SOOOOOO excited! Plus I got all that free stuff! Man, it can’t get any better than that! lol!

       @RicardoEquips Yep – me too!

I just finished the podcast (after listening to it THREE TIMES) and I have to say that this was one of the best podcast. It was one of those I needed to hear this podcast. It was one of those, “You got to eat your peas before you can have cake” podcast. Loved it! I know I said earlier that I would like to have this book for free, but even if I don’t get this book for free I will still buy it. I NEED it. lol! It would help me greatly in this area of weakness for me called personal selling. Thanks for this blog/podcast!

As a budding professional, I am curious to learn from what Hyatt has tp say. It has been a great journey following Michael through his blog for the past 2 years. I am eager to grow and nurture the spirit behind many creatives which has brought them success. I am looking forward to the concrete step by step guide from a genuis in the publishing world.

I want to put my name in the front, with the date and my email address, and pass it on (I bought one for myself — although I may do the same with my copy). That person then continues to pass it on, with their name and info. I like to spread the knowledge.

  • jonstolpe

I’ve been following Michael Hyatt for over a year now, and I think he has a lot to say.  More than that, I’m curious to learn more about how to build my own platform.  I’d love to win a copy of Platform!

  • http://hardandsimple.blogspot.com/ Skropp

Ok, now that I heard the podcast, I must post again…first off, LOVED the shout out to the blog commenters! We’re big time now!
Second, after hearing the interview, Michael definitely sold me on the necessity of purchasing Platform! I think it will help me to build my platform before putting together all my business plans so that when I do, there’s an audience already ready to consume the products and services!!
If this book is half as good as Michael says, it’s gonna revolutionize all of marketing!
Chris, I think you gotta decision who gets the books by weeks end so if it’s not me I can go buy it for all the extras!!

  • cabinart

A few months ago I told a friend about MH’s blog. She is now so into it that she emailed me yesterday to remind me to buy his book!

    I want his book because:
    1. He communicates very well.
    2. He has great credibiity
    3. There is free stuff with it.
    4. Everyone else is doing it and I don’t want to be left out.

I don’t want his book because:
    1. I’m afraid it will force me onto Facebook.
    2. I don’t like owning too many things and would rather get mine from the library.
    3. My stack of books to read is growing.

Obviously the first list won in spite of the very stupid reasons #3 and #4. And, the free stuff won’t take up any space, so it doesn’t cancel #2  in the lower list.

    • http://LouiseThaxton.Net/ LouiseThaxton

@cabinart I was so excited to buy the book – I couldn’t wait!  I heard him speak a few months ago -and in a conversation after that he talked about the “Platform” and he had  book coming out.  I’ve been anxious since then to read it!

  • efosterw

I must say that today is the first time I’ve heard of Michael Hyatt… and I am sitting on the edge of my seat to learn more from him!  The EntreLeadership podcast was incredible. I’m listening to it over and over as I work this morning.  As a former pastor led by God into the marketplace, I’ve had quite an interesting journey owning a business over the past 2.5 years.  Learning about the holiness of the merchant’s role (The Monk and the Merchant) and the innate righteousness of business done well (Thou Shall Prosper) have helped me see the kingdom of God in business and understand the path my wife and I are on.  Through years of ministry to students and adults, I’ve learned the value of sincere, intentional relationships and the power of trust.  I am now seeing how these same principles apply in the business world.  I’m eager to read what Michael has to say about these topics and how they are implemented through social networking.

    • http://LouiseThaxton.Net/ LouiseThaxton

@efosterw I met him a few years ago when he spoke at a conference and since then I have grown to respect his writings so much.  You will love his blog!

@efosterw And you will love the book – it is excellent!

Why would I like a copy of Platform? Firstly, because I really enjoy following Michael Hyatt. His podcasts, along with Entreleadership podcast, have been a tremendous blessing to my noggin and my life.

I would like a copy of Platform because I am WIDE – WIDE open to learning. I want to learn how to use social media more effectively to connect with the small tribe I already lead, and expand it. What better way to do that than by walking with someone else’s advice who KNOWS how to do it well.

    Thanks for the chance!

    • http://epicenterlanguages.com.mx/our-blog Aaron Nelson

You can’t see me, but I’m no doing a Jedi mind trick in order to convince you to give me a copy of Platform. “One of those 5 copies is for Aaron.” *Waves his hand in front of his laptop screen in Jedi fashion.* :) Couldn’t resist.

@Aaron Nelson With all those staples…..your noggin definitely needs blessing ;)

      • http://epicenterlanguages.com.mx/our-blog Aaron Nelson

@Laura Johnson Yes, it sure does! :)

After listening to the podcast and reading Mike’s blog post on why we should buy Platform, I’m sold. Social media is not optional, and to learn from someone who has tried, made mistakes and built a huge successful platform, is the smart way of learning.  I think if he publishes one of the top 800 blogs in the WORLD, he knows what he’s talking about.   It will provide me the tools to take my dream into the next level and define how to build my own platform as a speaker. It’s like a private coaching session with Michael Hyatt.  Social media bliss!

    • http://www.indueseason.net skottydog

@lilykreitinger I can’t wait to get my hands on this book!  I ordered it online, but maybe one of the five of Chris’ giveaway copies may show up first.  *hint**hint**!

    • http://LouiseThaxton.Net/ LouiseThaxton

       @lilykreitinger Amen,sister!

      • http://LouiseThaxton.Net/ LouiseThaxton

@lilykreitinger Now I just have to DO IT…….

  • http://www.lilykreitinger.com lilykreitinger

After listening to the podcast and reading Mike’s blog post on why we should buy Platform,  I’m definitely getting a copy (to get all the freebies and help him drive it on the best-seller list).  If I were to get an additional copy from Chris, I would give it away and spread the love.  Social media is not optional, and to learn from someone who has tried, made mistakes and built a huge successful platform, is the smart way of learning.   It’s  like a private coaching session with Michael Hyatt.  Social media bliss!

I got the book yesterday, but would buy it again today in order to set the precedent sharing awesome ideas. I mean, if Michael Hyatt is giving away $375.98, imagine what Chris will give away when he publishes a book. A formula car? The keys to his podcast kingdom? I can’t wait!

    • http://hardandsimple.blogspot.com/ Skropp

@Jonathan Henry Maybe like a “VP for a day package”…. Haha

      • http://www.lilykreitinger.com lilykreitinger

@Skropp  @Jonathan Or a guided “behind the scenes” tour to one of their events to see where all the EntreLeadership magic happens.

        • http://ChrisLoCurto.com ChrisLoCurto

@lilykreitinger  @Skropp  @Jonathan Or……or……a gum ball machine! No really, I have one. It’s pretty cool.

        • http://epicenterlanguages.com.mx/our-blog Aaron Nelson

@ChrisLoCurto I like the gumball machine – that would be pretty sweet. Hehe…

        • http://hardandsimple.blogspot.com/ Skropp

@ChrisLoCurto @lilykreitinger @Jonathan We suggest super cosmic VP powers for a day or total access to some of the greatest live events in the WORLD and he comes back with GUM BALL MACHINE??? Tough negotiator…. Haha

        • http://www.lilykreitinger.com lilykreitinger

           @Skropp  @ChrisLoCurto  @lilykreitinger  @Jonathan  Yeah, I know… He thinks we’ll say “I’ll take the gumball machine!”

        • http://hardandsimple.blogspot.com/ Skropp

@lilykreitinger @ChrisLoCurto @Jonathan I’ll only take the gum all machine if it’s connected to one of the five copies of Platform AND a promise of a first edition, autographed copy of a future Chris LoCurto book…

        • http://www.indueseason.net skottydog

@Skropp  @lilykreitinger  @ChrisLoCurto  @Jonathan  I can see the title now…”Italian Food, Race Cars, and Gumball Machines.  Leadership Lessons from the grill, the track, and the dentist’s office!”
I smell an NY Times Best Seller!

        • http://www.lilykreitinger.com lilykreitinger

Ha ha ha ha… Love it! Although I have the sense that it could be any kind of food…

        • cabinart

@ChrisLoCurto  @lilykreitinger  @Skropp  @Jonathan Had a teacher in high school who said repeatedly, “Gum chewing is a nasty habit”. He was the same guy who always wore a lab coat so he wouldn’t get a chalk stripe on his backside from bumping into the chalkboard tray.

Felt compelled to share this irrelevant information. . .

        • http://hardandsimple.blogspot.com/ Skropp

          @skottydog @lilykreitinger @ChrisLoCurto @Jonathan I think you should sell him the title…haha. That’s great

           @skottydog  @Skropp  @lilykreitinger  @Jonathan That could sell!!! I’ll start writing today. :-)

        • http://hardandsimple.blogspot.com/ Skropp

@ChrisLoCurto @skottydog @lilykreitinger @Jonathan And I think for providing ideas and encouragement, the top 10 blog commenters should receive and autographed first edition….

    • http://www.lilykreitinger.com lilykreitinger

@Jonathan Henry, @Skropp, @Aaron Nelson, @skottydog  You people are going to have to behave! Michael Hyatt reads this blog!  :D

      • http://hardandsimple.blogspot.com/ Skropp

        @lilykreitinger O c’mon…you KNOW Michael laughed at Aaron’s joke!
And when do we ever not behave on here?? (don’t answer that! Haha)

      • http://www.jonahenry.com/ Jonathan Henry

@lilykreitinger  Oh he does? I’m not too concerned where my formula car comes from, whether it is Mr. Hyatt or Mr. Locurto. As long as it has four wheels, and is part of buying the book, I’m in.

         @lilykreitinger  @Jonathan  @Aaron You all are too funny!! :)

I want a copy of Platform for several reasons.
#1 I have come to highly value Michael’s advice through his podcast
#2 As I am putting together my business plan and starting my business, Platform would be INVALUABLE
#3 Platform is recommended by several of the people I highly respect, including Chris and Dan Miller…with that type of endorsement, it’s a MUST read!
    #2

    • http://hardandsimple.blogspot.com/ Skropp

@Chris LoCurto however Chris, if I wait to win one from you won’t I miss out on the almost $400 of bonus gifts from Michael?

      • http://ChrisLoCurto.com ChrisLoCurto

@Skropp Nope. You get that as well!!

        • http://hardandsimple.blogspot.com/ Skropp

  • http://www.indueseason.net skottydog

Silly Rabbit! Who can wait until June 1st for a copy of this must-have book? Lol!

Michael Hyatt is THE authority on social media and creating a successful platform, and should already be a household name to anyone attempting (or especially succeeding) in having their voice heard through podcasting, blogging, writing, etc!

I cannot wait to dive into this book! Already bought mine!

I am so excited about today’s show–two of my favorite speakers in one podcast! Thanks again for all you do, Chris!

    • http://hardandsimple.blogspot.com/ Skropp

@skottydog I was just thinking I couldn’t wait to listen to the podcast either…if we could just sneak Dan Miller in there it’d be a triple threat!! Haha

      • http://www.indueseason.net skottydog

@Skropp  @skottydog That would be killer!  Or, how about a “Podcast League of Champions” consisting of Chris, Michael Hyatt, Dave Ramsey, Dan Miller, John Maxwell, Jon Acuff, and Mark Messier!  (Sorry, had to throw in a New York Rangers reference in there…playoffs on the brain!)

        • http://hardandsimple.blogspot.com/ Skropp

@skottydog It would cause mental overload…. They would have to put a disclaimer at the beginning!! “warning: digesting this podcast in one sitting may have adverse side affects including headache, excessive excitement, positive attitude, better marriage, and creative thinking. Consult a physician before ingesting more than 10 minutes…” haha

        • http://www.indueseason.net skottydog

@Skropp  @skottydog That would be an overdose I’d love to have!

        • http://www.lilykreitinger.com lilykreitinger

          AWESOME!!

i hope this will be good book. books reading is my hobby.

  • Dick Savidge

Yesterday I purchased Mike’s book and I am eager to read it.  I listened to Mike speak at a Catalyst event and was struck by the whole idea of using social media.  At the time I first heard him, I was starting to disengage….too many voices, not enough quality input.  I only want to engage at the point I think I can add value.  The challenge for me is to bring value, to bring excellence.

    • http://ChrisLoCurto.com ChrisLoCurto

@Dick Savidge That’s the great thing about this book. You only focus on the groups you can add value to. I know you’ll love it!

  • http://www.ricardoequips.com RicardoEquips

I just read about this offer on John Maxwell’s blog yesterday. It sounds really awesome. I’m going to listen to the podcast today. I would love to get this book, because it would help me out major in this area. I’m freelancer in my business and learning this would help me get my message to the right folks. I’m struggling bad. But I know with God all things are possible and my vision is to change how business is done in the music ministry, industry, and culture (as far as hip-hop is concern). We all know that it is not as positive as it should be. I’ve been making videos, podcast, blogs, email lists, FB groups, etc just trying to find the right crowd. I’ve only caught a few fish. With this book it would be like Jesus saying, “Hey Peter cast your net in the water!” I will be amazed at the results of this book. He has the credibility and the proof to show it. So I WANT IT! lol!
