From Next-Level Leadership LIVE Event 2017: Your System For Success

Day Two of Next-Level Leadership Live Event kicked off with our attendees ready to dive in, mastermind, and grow their leadership.

One of the day’s highlights was hearing from the Next-Level Mastermind Coaching clients. Mastermind Coaching group members joined Chris on stage and talked about what it’s actually like to be a part of this team and accountability group. The Mastermind team opened up about the huge impacts of Next-Level Life, StratPlan and Mastermind Coaching groups in their personal lives and businesses.

Next-Level Mastermind Success Panel 2017

Next-Level Mastermind 2018

But it wasn’t all business. Our Next-Level Mastermind clients shared the impact of the program on their lives:

“The leadership journey over the last few years through Next-Level Mastermind has helped me become the father and husband I want to be. One of my daughters is 3 and the other is 11…the 11 year old is a lot like me, and it’s amazing to see the person she can grow into now that I know how to be a better father.”

Other members of the panel shared the impacts of Next-Level Mastermind on their marriage, kids, business, and personal growth. Chris responded, “We talk about a lot of stuff here you wouldn’t think about at a business conference don’t we…”

Attendee’s heads nodded all around the room.

Chris broke the silence with the truth that’s been front and center throughout the event,

“Because it’s not all about business, it’s about life change.”

The Next-Level Mastermind Coaching panel was powerful. Attendees took notes and began talking amongst themselves and their teams, submitting their applications to join a team to see the same results and drastic change in their lives and businesses.

From Next-Level Leadership LIVE Event 2017: What you need to train high performers, and accomplish your highest priorities

Leaders and entrepreneurs from around the country flew into Nashville, TN and helped us kick off The Next-Level Leadership LIVE Event with a BANG this morning.

On day one there was SO MUCH incredible content, I only wrote down some highlights on a couple of the lessons Chris taught. And wow, are they powerful. I was typing furiously to not miss any content, so forgive any typos.

Let’s do this…Here are some highlights from Day One:

“Any role will become a dead-end job when it no longer motivates the person in the role.”

How are you leading your team to success?

Chris made it clear that this event was not about a leadership quick fix or a few tips that will last for a month, even a year. The content on day one was rooted in how to motivate and lead your team to success, and accomplish your highest priorities as a leader. Chris dug into the why, how-to, the in-depth information, and system to make it all happen.

HOW TO INTRINSICALLY MOTIVATE YOUR TEAM

Your employee’s Values matter. The Values Profile uncovers why people use their unique talents the way they do. Your Values are the intersection of what you are passionate about, and what motivates you. Why does this matter?

(NOTE: Can’t get enough of Next-Level Leadership LIVE Event? Join the waitlist for Next-Level Leadership LIVE Event 2018 and be among the first to receive details about next year’s event, including specials on tickets. Sign up here.)

Productivity directly increases or decreases by the amount each team member values what they do each day…

Yes, those are Stormtroopers in the Next-Level Leadership workbook.

With a Next-Level Leadership binder full of each leader’s plan to grow a stronger, more unified team moving in the same direction…we hit accountability.

Your job as a leader is to make your team successful, not the other way around. THAT’S your job.

WHAT’S ACCOUNTABILITY GO TO DO WITH IT?

Accountable (n): a state of being; especially: a willingness to accept responsibility, to account for one’s actions.

Accountability doesn’t restrain you, it creates freedom.

Lack of accountability in a business shows up as
  • Distractions in culture
  • The team believing lower standards are ok
  • Lack of productivity
  • Increased stress on leadership
  • Underlying tension between team members
  • Unresolved conflict

The Office of Personnel Management lists the realized results of having accountability in the workplace –

  • Improved performance
  • More employee participation and involvement
  • Increased feelings of competency
  • Increased employee commitment to the work
  • More creativity and innovation
  • Higher employee morale and satisfaction with the work

To have accountability in your organization, it has to start with you!

Successful leaders and entrepreneurs also have a system built around them for accountability to help them to see a clear path to success, make stronger decisions, solve complex problems, and get free to lead more effectively.

More coming on that success system tomorrow…

After registration, three full sessions on brand new content, VIP lunch and bonus sessions, Live Q&A, team breakout sessions to implement, and lots of coffee…we wrapped up with our Next-Level Leaders Gala. Here are some highlights:

So you messed up…

…what happens when you screw up? When you do something stupid? For those of us that are Christians, what happens when you sin, and how do you solve it?

This is something every person who walks the planet struggles with, we all mess up. But this isn’t about Christianity and laws and rules. The law was given to be a guide. We want people around us that can help us. People that we can trust. Unfortunately, when we turn to others for support we get judgement, self-righteousness, or responses that make us never want to share our problems with another human, again…okay maybe not all of you have had that experience, but some of us have.

How do you find someone who cares, and still loves you through those tough situations? Someone who is a trusted confidant, and wants to see you succeed.

We created a Healthy Accountability List from this episode content to help you find the right people. Print it, or save it to your phone or computer:

Here’s what you’ll discover on today’s show. Listen here:

  • How to love someone through their stupidity vs. endorsing it
  • Why it’s so hard to share our struggles
  • What James and Paul say about messing up
  • What healthy accountability looks like
  • How to help others rise strong

Question: Have you experienced judgement in accountability and relationships?  Have you had positive experiences?

5 Ways To Lead Yourself Better

April 13, 2017 | By | No Comments">No Comments

Are you a leader at work, in your family, or in your social circles?

If you are, you may have learned that to lead others well, the person you must know the best is yourself.

John Maxwell calls it the Mirror Principle because if your self-perception is wrong or distorted, your efforts and decisions will be misguided.

Here are 5 ways to lead yourself better starting today.

1. Act On New Information Immediately

Top performers don’t wait! They act fast on new information they learn!

There’s a big difference between learning something and acting on it.

How many books have you read and not acted on anything, or only a little bit of the information?

Acting quickly on new information helps you retain it for the long-term, and builds competency and confidence.

2. A Vision For Your Life

Just as a leader needs to cast a vision to lead people to, you need to cast a vision for where to lead yourself.

Vision is where you are headed. It’s not a dream, it’s not a goal, it’s the destination you’re moving toward until you have a new destination.

When there’s the absence of a personal vision, your time gets filled with the priorities of others, lack of purpose, and feelings of discontentment.

Cast a vision for where you want to be in life, and what life looks like in every area. Then, set goals and actions to achieve it.

3. Community

God made us to be in community with one another.

The two key aspects of having community are: 1) having people around you to keep you from being isolated in your own thoughts, and 2) having a community of people who are sharing the same experience.

“You are the sum of the five people you hang out with the most.” ~ Jim Rohn

Surround yourself with a Network Of Challenging Minds, which is a group of like-minded individuals who are focused on pushing each other to grow themselves and others in the process in the same area.

4. Accountability

Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. ~ Proverbs 15:22 (NIV)

Accountability is taking ownership of one’s situation or circumstances.

Many people look at being held accountable as something that will restrain them and limit their freedom…

I understand that mindset, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

YOU are the one in control of what you’re being held accountable for. If you don’t want to grow or be pushed for success in an area, don’t ask for accountability IN that area.

Great accountability helps you to see mistakes, trouble, and bad decisions before they happen.

When you ask an individual or a group to hold you accountable, you are telling your Root System that you are not going to allow The Lies to hold you back!

5. Grace

It’s something we all need, and it’s not something we give very freely.

Leading with grace requires a relationship with God, the ultimate grace giver.

When we recognize how much grace we’ve been given, it allows us to give it to others.

Grace gives you freedom to: 1) not try to be a perfect leader, 2) not need to know everything, and 3) be okay with failure.

Also, when you consider how you want to be treated in high-pressure situations, it allows you extend grace to others.

I encourage you to take action on these 5 ways to lead yourself better starting today!

The Power To Grow

September 22, 2015 | By | One Comment">One Comment

the-power-to-grow-podcast

If you’re not growing, you’re dying. I’d wager some big money that you’re someone who wants to grow. The fact you’re reading this tells me that!

Growth in business is something that everyone in our coaching program, or our mastermind groups is focused on. Growing themselves. Growing their revenue. Growing their leadership.

Focusing on growth is so powerful, and we’ve now been doing this with our clients for years. And the results have been staggering at times!

A key to their success is the fact they’re not alone in what they’re doing.

As I was thinking about that recently, I said to myself, “‘I need to be able to share with people the power of growing through a community.'”

Below are 3 keys to look for in a great mastermind or accountability group.

We’ve also got a phenomenal FREE download detailing 10 things to look for with an accountability group. This is coming straight out of our groups. The things that are making our clients absolutely successful! accountability-group

We’ve talked about masterminds on The Chris LoCurto Show before, about how powerful they are, but there are some new things I want to share with you.

Network Of Challenging Minds

First off, you may be wondering what that is! Well, here you go!

A network of challenging minds is:

Like-minded individuals who are focused on pushing each other to grow themselves and others in the process in the same area (i.e. Entrepreneur, leadership, small business).

If you are not surrounded by people who are like-minded, by people who are aiming for the same goal, than how in the world are you growing you?

There Is incredible Power In Community

There are 2 aspects to community. Having it; having people around you to keep you from being isolated in your own thoughts. It’s also a community of people that are sharing the same experience.

When you have that community of people sharing the same experience, growth happens. Jim Rohn said a long time ago that, “You are the sum of the five people you hang out with the most.”

If you have 5 people that you spend most of your time with, whatever that is, whether it be work influence, whether it be family influence, whatever those influences are, the top 5 people that you hang out with, that’s your influence.

Having that community is incredibly powerful when it comes to your growth, assuming those people are healthy for you.

So why is community so important? Well first off, when you’re not surrounded by folks who are going through the same struggles you are and who are taking the same walk you are, what happens is you become isolated.

This tends to happen even if you have friends and family you spend time with because they’re not experiencing a lot of the same stuff that you are.

This means they have difficulty relating to your day-to-day issues, stressors, problems, and even successes. You can’t talk through growth, leadership challenges, goal setting, work-life balance, and all of the stuff that comes with being your own boss.

And when that happens, you become isolated, and with isolation comes being left alone to your own thoughts.

When we are left to our own thoughts, we get ourselves in trouble. You need to have folks who are walking the same path as you. It also lends to accountability.

Accountability

People willing to take on the responsibility to hold others accountable to their own expectations. How they accomplish this is by not filling their own needs but by helping others to achieve theirs.

Accountability is incredibly vital to growth.

It starts with you and asking questions like these:

“What are my expectations?” What are my goals?” What are the initiatives that will move me toward accomplishing those goals”

Once you have your expectations down, it’s time to build people into your life to help you get there.

If you get the right group, it’s nearly impossible to not achieve and grow.

As you experience life with others who are experiencing the same thing with you, it is amazing how much you grow. I can’t tell you how greatly my leadership blossomed when I started spending much more time with smart, healthy people.

A lot of the people you may have heard on the show are people I experience life with. We do things outside of business. We talk a lot of business, we share a lot of stuff on that level, but we also go to dinner together, and some of us go on vacations together.

As you share life together with folks who have a growth mindset, who are willing to hold you accountable, who have challenging minds, an amazing thing happens, you grow. And you grow exponentially.

Again, when it comes to business, if you are not growing, you are dying. Period! Every long-term, successful business succeeds by having a continuous growth mindset. Therefore, it is important to have like-minded people around you.

So these are just 3 things. Again, grab the FREE download to get all 10 things to look for when you’re pulling together an accountability group – a group of people that will help you grow. accountability-group

These are the things we do to help our clients be absolutely successful and grow like crazy.

Question: What do you suggest people look for in a mastermind or accountability group?
