Today, I Will Be A Leader Worth Following!

November 16, 2011 | By | 21 Comments">21 Comments

I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Arif Gangji when he came to EntreLeadership. Not only is he a great guy, but an incredible thinker and doer. I recently was talking with Arif about how things were going in the business, and he shared with me a motivational tool that he is using in his office.

When he told me about this, I immediately asked if I could share it with you guys. All of his team members have printed this out with their own list and hung it by their desk. What a great reminder every day of what I need to be to be a leader worth following.

Question: What items belong on your list?

  • Leo Lampinen

Chris (or anyone that can help),
Do you know where I can find a version of this piece suitable for framing? It deserves a spot on the wall, any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

    P.S. Great blog!

    – Leo

Make your own Leo! or copy this one and print it on paper and frame it!

  • Laura Johnson

I love this list! I just might have to print it off for my desk :)
A word I would add: Inspiring.

    • Chris LoCurto

I love how many people have gone ahead and printed it.

  • Misty Gilbert

I absolutely love this…inspired me to make my list!

  • Phil Cohen

    I like words such as:
    Christ centered

    • Chris LoCurto

Nice! Things that describe Phil Cohen!!

    • Misty Gilbert

      I like your list Phil!

  • Uma Maheswaran S

I am a leadership freak. Thanks

They ALL belong on my list. And what a great reminder to have on your desk every day – thanks so much to Arif for sharing!

  • ginasmom

All of the above… various measures, some are still a lot of work in progress, while some are almost ready for showtime. Love the list, will be printing a copy for my wall.

  • Jana Botkin

Productive! It seems there is so much work to be done that is not making art that some days it is just a fight to fit in art making activities. Today I gardened around the studio, did errands, visited with some other artists, and never did make it into the studio.

So, forget “productive” – let’s try “thankful” for a flexible schedule and variety in my work!

  • Dan Black

This is a great list!!! my main ones are passionate, disciplined, and faithful. All of these things are essential for a leader or person.

    • Misty Gilbert

      I like your list Dan!

Today I will be making a copy of the grapic and posting it near my desk for inspiration and motivation.

Printed and hung by my desk. Thanks!

  • Armen Alajian

    And a better speller

  • Joel Fortner

I love this idea! Unfortunately, I could see some people thinking it’s corny. Chris and all, how do you recommend dealing with that?

    • Chris LoCurto

If someone thinks it’s corny, they probably don’t have what it takes to be a leader. I would let them know that it’s a reminder to me to be the best I can be for them.

        Your an idiot

        • Chris LoCurto

Really? I’m an idiot? Where did you learn to spell you’re.
