419 | Restoring Willpower for Better Health

On the show, we continue our conversation about restoring willpower for better health, but we’re taking it a step forward and applying it to out habits.

You might remember the series we started a few months back called, “You Don’t Have As Much Willpower As You Think” (parts 1 and 2). In case you’d like to go back and listen to those first, I’ll put links below to each of the previous shows.

But, we also need to understand that willpower depletion can be a result of its overuse. Thankfully, there are ways to eliminate that from happening, or at least to lessen the impact. Joining me on the show today to help us understand all this is my lovely wife and the leader of our Restore program, Heather LoCurto!

What you’ll discover today is that willpower is a limited resource. It’s not something that’s constantly there, so you can’t continuously pull from it and then never run out of it. When we understand that, we can begin to do things that will replenish our supply and keep us making healthy choices and investing in healthy practices and habits.

I hope this is helpful today – and be sure to check out these related resources too!
