Ahhhh, Love!

Ahhhh, Love!

Recently, I was in a restaurant and saw this lovely advertisement on the wall. It just hit me kinda funny, so I couldn’t help but snap a picture. I’m still trying to figure out exactly what the advertisement is trying to say. And why is the “w” capitalized? Is that like capitalizing any reference to God in the Bible? Okay, I’m not one to speak on correcting grammar.

Also, how do you connect love being like wine, to buying wine? Since love is like wine, it only makes sense to have a bottle? I’m not really sure.

Either way, since I feel like the analogy isn’t complete, I would like to see who can come up with the best “rewrite.”

Keep in mind that I’m not looking for the obvious:

  • Love is like a fine wine: It just gets better with age!

We all can come up with the true and sweet versions… but I’m looking for funny! Please, nothing raunchy, just make us laugh.

  • Love is like a fine wine: The older it gets, the more it tastes like vinegar!
  • Love is like a fine wine: old and dusty!
  • Love is like a fine wine: It begins as grapes, but you have to stomp the daylights out of it to get something workable!

Leave yours as a comment, and I’ll post anything not dirty. 🙂

  1. Love is like a fine wine – a little bit of the red stuff daily is good for the heart.

(FYI, info on red wine being good for the heart is here:

  2. Love is like fine wine, with the right amount it can be intoxicating.

Love is like a fine wine, the more you have, the more everyone around you becomes nicer.

  3. Love is like a fine wine, you drink a little and it makes you feel good but if you drink it long enough it makes you puke.
