According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.
Hallelujah and amen! It’s because of you that this country stays strong. Thank you. And to those who operate their own businesses, an additional thanks. You are why so many are able to work and put food on their tables. Your inability to sit on the sidelines waiting for someone to take care of you has helped so many others prosper.
Thank you for the soccer games and dance recitals you missed, so you and your team members could take care of your families. Thank you for your relentless pursuit of excellence in the ordinary. And thank you for your belief that this still is the greatest country in the world, especially because of our ability to get up every day and decide to make our lives better.
Have an amazing Labor Day!
It’s a good day to celebrate! It’s only going to be because of good laborers that we will get this economy out of this mess and not because of the government. There are too many people waiting around for the government to fix their lives. Our country became great because of two reasons: God (first) and hard working people (second)! We should remember this. Sorry for the rant!
Thank You Chris for your strength and encouragement to us business owners! I hope you enjoy your Labor Day Holiday also!
Hi Chris! We are celebrating Teacher’s Day here in India paying tribute to all the teachers across the country.
What a great day! All countries should celebrate those who help to mold our young minds!
True! True! Teaching is one of the noblest professions in this world.
Great post!
