So many know that after twelve AMAZING years with Dave Ramsey, I started my own business. I will share more on that soon.
Along with that, many of you have asked what I’m doing now. First, I have to say that I sincerely appreciate the love and support you’ve shown me in recent weeks. You are all incredible!
I’ll unveil everything I’m cooking up for the business pretty soon. In the meantime, a major part of it can be found on my Strategic Planning page. Basically, I meet with entrepreneurs and business leaders to reach deep into their business, rip it apart, and rebuild it. (Much better description on that page.)
It’s all about making sense of today’s realities, focusing on the future vision, and designing and installing a plan to get them there.
In fact, I have an event at the house this week. Not only will the Strategic Planning process be incredible, but the 3-day food menu we’re preparing is insane!
And I say “we” because my pals Brian Alex, Melissa Fuller, and Joel Fortner are here helping me pull it all together.
Did I already say it’s going to be insanely awesome? We kicked it off last night with a pretty fantastic dinner.
It’s all about growth, folks. That’s what this event and week is all about.
Tear em, up guys! Get out there and make a difference!
Thank you Mitch!!
BAM! Take it up a notch!
I’m planting a lot of seeds right now, like Johnny Appleseed. I will be in a drastically different place in 3 years, because I am doing what I can now, and having the patience to tend to those seeds bit by bit as they sprout.
Chris, I’m still getting comments about how the interview you did for my podcast touched lives. Thanks so much for that. I know your new projects will win because of the time you spent learning and teaching these past 12 years.
That was a pretty awesome interview!
Whoever that was interviewing him has mad skills.
You were 50% of that interview Erik, don’t forget that! You rock too!
That is awesome Erik!!! And Bob is right, it takes a great interviewer to make a great interview.
I didn’t know you struck out on your own Chris. Congratulations and good luck! I’m sure you’ll do great.
Thanks Joe!!
Great news! Way to go, Chris!
Thanks Poli!! Cute baby. 😀
You had me at 3 Day Menu 🙂 Chris – you are lighting fires. Thank you for stepping out in faith. I am excited to hear about what you are cooking up for your business!
HAHAHA…that was the hope with the menu. Thanks Jared!!
Wow! Sounds amazing Chris! Need to see some pics of that spread you guys are putting together…
What am I doing to create a winning three year strategy?
I’m seeking wise counsel! Just hired an amazing new marketing coach. He already has me thinking about things differently. I feel truly blessed!
I hope your collaboration goes well!!!
🙂 about everything you said!
Thanks Bob! It is an absolute blast. And good luck with that marketing coach. 🙂
Chris
I can’t wait to hear what all you’re doing. You r one of the best people I’ve ever known. I’m so proud of you and your family. I look forward to learning from you.
Ok, this was awesome to read!! Thank you Jill!!!
We knew food would be involved, for sure! Have a blast these three days, take lots of pics and go get ’em! We are SO VERY proud of you!!!!!!!
Saying food is “involved” is an understatement! 🙂
OK, so it’s a three-day Food Fest with a little bit of business talk on the side :0)
We’ll call it half and half!
…which, of course, means its probably 70-30!
Exactly. It probably started like this:
“I have this awesome recipe.”
“Oh, I have one, too.”
“Dude, we have to invite people over for all this food!”
“Why don’t we talk about business over lunch?”
“Lunch? We have enough food for three days!”
Gosh I miss you Lil!!!
Hey, the Strategic Planning page looks AMAZING!!! This is so very exciting!! You’re going places, friend!
I just looked at it too Lil, totally awesome! makes me want to sell all I own to sign up and travel there for it 🙂 …like a LoCurto pilgrimage! haha. But, I think it’s safe to say, at least you wouldn’t starve on this pilgrimage!
yeah, it was probably Chris saying, “hey lets get together and make lots of totally awesome food and hang out!!” and Joel, being the marketing guy, said, “hey chris, maybe we should talk about business too–after all, then you can write off the HUGE grocery bill you’re going to have!”
It’s actually a perfect merger of Chris’ passions and strengths all aimed at helping people. I wish you all could see what’s happening right now at this event. It’s powerful!!!
Joel, I think you forgot to add “nanny nanny boo boo” to the end of your comment, because you’re sure rubbing it in!! Haha.
Enjoy!
Sharing and rubbing it in are two different things. If you were there, you would be sharing too and no one would think you’re rubbing it in. And you know I can say these things because you’re my friend.
funny!
This is super exciting Joel. So glad you’re part of it!!!! Can’t wait to hear more about it.
Man, I wish I could’ve made it! Next time….
It’s a total honor and blessing to be involved in this! So far so good!
It’s a honor to have you my friend!
Chris you are a life changer and I’m so excited for what you are doing! Can’t wait to hear more and see you soar. And the Food Fest sounds like a blast – go get ’em!
Congrats on the new endeavor Chris. My team and I have greatly benefitted from your work on the Entre podcast. Would love to provide video content for your business some day.
How very exciting! I was wondering what the next step for you was after
moving from Dave Ramsey. Thank you for encouraging all of us who are
trying to build too 🙂 God bless you Chris~
HA! totally jealous of you Joel. Just saying.
What am I doing beyond the day to day? Well, as we speak I’m sitting in Starbucks about to meet with a guy that I’ve been working with on a few projects that are pushing me closer and closer to doing what I’d love to do!
So to answer the question, I’m utilizing early mornings and late nights to work on my dream!
Thanks for the great example, wisdom and knowledge! Hope you guys have a great week! and again…I’m envious!
Mmmmmm food! Can’t wait to hear all about the event!
Excited for you Chris.
I find it hard to believe that homemade Limoncello will not be involved! Congrats on your new grand adventure!
Chris, have a great time with the new path. Your knowledge and insight was very valuable for me and my business at an Entreleadership event last year. Excited to see what you have cookin’ next.
So exciting Chris!! I’m taking time to focus on the future each week. Dreaming big and then having action steps to get there is SOOOOOOO important!!!!
Well I get to see your kitchen that we talked about in ELMS in Tx … left you a msg and hope be a client of yours when this is up and moving..
Chris Meyerson
So proud of you, Chris. Keep it up!
I really miss your energy and passion on the Entre Leadership podcast, Chris. I sincerely hope podcasting is a part of your future plans!
I am planning on it! I just have to find the time. 🙂
Ditto on the podcast! We miss you…
I had been wondering what you were up to. Been missing regular posts from you. Congratulations though, I am very excited to see how your new venture goes! 🙂
Sounds absolutely fantastic. Food is always good ! lol . I am anxious to hear more as I am a writer exploring the world of publishing. More specifically my “Jesus and Me” as I have titled my God inspired works.
Hello Chris, I wonder what was on the menu last night?
Have fun with the remaining food fest.
And we have lift off! To infinity and beyond my friend. I’m eager to watch you and encouraged by your initiative! Congrats.
Beyond the day-to-day? I am reading this blog, to start with 🙂 I work at trying to connect and interact with others online. I am finding little bits of time to work on my side business so that it can become my main business. Thanks, Chris, for all your help!
I am also making sure to spend some time with my family – I don’t want to have a successful career and turn around to have my kids wonder who I am!
I’m building my platform at https://JonDHarrison.com , reading good books, listening to good podcasts, and helping others succeed at every chance I get!
“Growth” is my “one word” of the year, by the way.
Looking forward to seeing what you are up to around here!
Need some advice, Chris. How do I deal with my profound jealousy of Brian, Melissa and Joel! LOL 🙂 I hope you guys have a great time getting together to plan out an amazing strategy and eating some awesome food. Any thing you need help with, I’m there to pitch in – and so is your rabid community!
Excited to see what God has in store for you Chris. I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to the entreleadership podcast. I appreciate your passion and know you will carry that with you into what ever you do.
sweet brother..keep killing it!
Still processing ‘Day One’ of this Strategic Planning Event; it has already been a truly “wow-experience” with HUGE profit ramifications.
Just remember that you Rock Chris! (Not to be confused Chris Rock)
Just don’t talk with your mouths full!
Missing you on the EntreLeadership podcast. It’s still good and I will continue to listen to it, but you came across as so relational, connected, and down to earth. Good luck with everything!
Congratulations and good luck with the new venture, I am sure it will be very successful with your knowledge, abilities and drive.
Over the last year because of things you have been teaching one of my focus’ has been strategic thinking like planning out several years and not just looking at the current year/month. So part of my time is spent finding and planning opportunities that I know won’t mature for a couple years but will be key to long term success of the company. Reading Good to Great which goes along this line as well.
This is all really exciting! I have a question for you, Chris… Do you envision working with organized businesses comprised of multiple team members only, or do you think you would be taking on sole proprietors and their new business start-ups as well?
Great question Chris and CONGRATULATIONS on your entrepreneurial venture!
The commitment I made to myself and to my wife is a simple but profound one, at least to me – I can no longer afford to play small! It serves no one.
Hope to see you at the book launch and media tour kickoff party at Dan’s place in November.
