You Are Good Enough [Video]

We finished up the Q&A Series a couple weeks ago and today we’re starting a new video lesson series straight from your feedback on the reader survey! Thank you for the incredible questions, comments and ideas!

Do you ever struggle with the feeling that you just haven’t achieved enough or accomplished enough? It’s not a question of “Am I good enough?” it’s an absolute feeling of “I am not good enough.” Clear it out of your mind. The truth is, YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH!

Take a few minutes and make three columns on a sheet of paper:

  • 1st column: Write down every person or situation that has made you feel like you aren’t good enough. This will help you gain perspective on where the feelings came from. We’re not making monsters or victims.
  • 2nd column: Write down everything you’ve achieved or accomplished in life. This is difficult. Take time to discover what these things are. We’re terrible at celebrating our victories.
  • 3rd column: Write down a list of people that you’ve possibly made feel like they aren’t good enough. We’ve all done it. Pick out a few people that you’re going to talk to this week and let them know that they are good enough.

“If you can never be satisfied with what you have achieved, you’ll never be satisfied with what you do achieve.” – Chris LoCurto Tweet

Today, come to a place of understanding that you are good enough! If you’d like to dig deeper into discovering your purpose in life and finding perspective in your past, check out the LifePlan page under Work With Me.

  1. Great stuff Chris! You are definitely right on this one, as soon as I started thinking about what I’ve accomplished, my mind went blank. I’m going to have to dig deep on that one. Love getting a new perspective…Thanks!

  2. Fortunately in my life I have not had many people saying I’m not good enough. I can do that all by myself 🙂 Mainly it’s the sad comparison game. Someone else’s house/life/marriage/kids/job/income are better than mine. I can end the game quickly by reminding myself that I don’t know what struggles they have and if I did, I wouldn’t want to trade my life with theirs.

Our team at work is privileged to have leaders who are great at affirming and encouraging people. It is also a great reminder to encourage others and recognize their achievements. Great video! Thanks, Chris!

  3. You are MORE than good “enough.” You have every capability needed for greatness in whatever you want to do (OK within reason…I know I’m not going to be in the NBA).

The only remaining ingredients are determination, training, and giving yourself grace to mess up along the way.

  4. We have some new people at work, and they have been doing great at catching on and learning the duties. I try to let them know this, and it helps them to keep trying to learn more. One guy in particular has made several months of progress in only a month.

  5. I’m one of those Chris has helped see they ARE good enough. I never realized this was such an issue until I got into the LifePlan with him. ITt’s amazing how this self-perceptionn impacts our lives. While I’m not “cured” of it, it’s something I work on rountinely and things are changing for the better in big ways!

  6. I fell into this trap. I felt that if I wasn’t making the money here then what I was putting out as content was not valuable. Because my content was from my personal experience or expertise. It was me. I am the product in a way. So I was starting to equate that I personally was not worth that. And then their is this old rap song that I heard as a kid that always echos in the back of my head that says, “If you can’t make money on an earth this big/ you’re worthless kid/ you don’t deserve to live.” And for some reason this song always pops up in my head since I haven’t heard that song in 15 years. This is before I was walking with Christ. But it’s stuck there.

  7. Bless you Chris. This is awesome, needed and goes above-and-beyond just content. This is life-changing help that just might be the difference between someone’s terrible day and a breakthrough.

    Keep it up brother.
