142 | Business Secrets from the Bible with Rabbi Daniel Lapin

On this episode of The Chris LoCurto Show, Rabbi Daniel Lapin and I go into details from his book, Business Secrets From The Bible–a powerful, powerful book.

Jewish Americans are the wealthiest religious group in the U.S.

How are they consistently wealthier than the rest of the population? That is exactly what we discuss on today’s episode!

For those of you that have been with me for a long time, you’ve heard the interviews that I’ve had with Rabbi. He’s just not only one of my favorite people to interview, but also a huge influence in my life.

While there is SO much information that we discussed, I actually had to delete a bunch of questions to not make the show a week long!! There are 40 secrets in the book and we hit on some crazy powerful, life-changing information!

Some Questions I Asked:

  • How does secret #1 give businesses such an incredible advantage?
  • What is the power of specialization and exchange?
  • How much greater advantage do businesses have by becoming interdependent on people?
  • Why is it that we don’t treat the person that signs our paycheck the same way we treat the customers of the business?
  • Can you explain to us God’s offering to us?
  • Why is the community aspect so powerful in the Jewish community?

In This Episode, You Will Learn:

  • The strategies, tips, tools, and techniques derived from ancient Jewish wisdom
  • Why secret number #1 is a mantra in our office
  • How Bill Gates faired against Mother Teresa
  • The power of specialization and exchange
  • How connecting with other people is vital to your business
  • The potential dangers for subjectivity
  • How money is a certificate of good performance
  • Plus much more…

  1. Chris + Rabbi Lapin = ALWAYS my favorite interviews! I still HATE that I didn’t save the interview from back in the Entreleadership days, as it was hands down my favorite podcast episode ever. Thank you both for bringing this truth to Chris’ audience. I know I need to hear it again and again. I look forward to reading Rabbi’s newest book, as well.

    1. Thank you Amber for the awesome compliment!! And I know you’ll love the book. As always, it rocked my world!

  2. Chris, EXCELLENT question when you asked Rabbi Lapin why is we don’t mind the sports superstar getting paid millions of dollars, but we revolt when the business owner makes no where that and the main street media portrays them as greedy. As Rabbi Lapin said when you provide a service to your fellow man that blesses them you are honoring God and the gift, the skill he gave to you. Your interviews with Rabbi Lapin always rock!

      1. Thank you for the kind words. As always my offer is open, if you are ever in Vegas lunch or dinner on me.

  3. Chris this is so refreshing!.. I came from a church background where to “serve” meant volunteer… How do you go about deciding what to charge for a service?..

  4. I listened to this interview three times and read the transcript. I can’t wait to read the book. The principles seem so simple but it is the supportive context that has me intrigued for the last 5 hours. You must interview him again because the wisdom that both of you have to offer the world is phenomenal. I gained such a deeper understanding and perspective.

  5. Love, love, loved this, Chris. The best podcast I’ve heard from you yet. It spoke to my spirit man in a way few podcasts ever have.
