Question: What was your biggest take away from Mary?
I listened this morning on my way to work! Loved this episode
Glad to hear it Aren!
Oh. Biggest takeaway: She made the comment that successful people do things to become successful in all areas of their life- including improving their health. Reminded me of your “Wheel of Life” post.
I totally agree! That’s why this is so important to me for my followers to hear. Success breeds success.
After listening this morning, my patient brought in 2 dozen doughnuts!
BAH!!!! That’s awesome. Is that why they’re your patient? lol
haha. No. I’m actually a physical therapist, not a doctor
I’ve been known to bend over backwards for chocolate glazed donut.
You think you’re bending over backwards, but really you’re just bending your head back. It’s kind of pitiful, but we still enjoy watching you try.
I’m an amateur. Helloooo!
This was a fun episode to record.
Biggest take away for me was the Leaky Gut info. I’m definitely reevaluating the food I eat.
@arendaniels:disqus I dig that quote too!
You should do so by buying me lunch.
ha! thought we’d just fast today.
I say we all meet at your place for one of the amazing meals you post.
Fantastic idea James!
Great stuff. I have been eating gluten free for three years now. Really changed my life. I’m also dairy and pretty much grain free. Loved this episode!
Thanks Melanie! I’m sure you’re in a much better place now.
Fantastic episode!! Changing your eating will change every aspect of your life.
Wurd Chica!
I love her overall approach to health through all aspects of living, but I had no idea that gluten was tied to leaky gut in that way…I have been adjusting how I eat for a couple days now so this was perfect timing, looking forward to trying some of her recipes.
Oh big time!! I didn’t know it for a long time either. I think it’s a huge misunderstanding for so many.
This one hits home for us. Our middle daughter has the celiac gene marker as well as several other food allergies (soy and egg being the biggies). We have really worked on focusing on what we eat and were amazed at some of the junk we were putting into our bodies. Since changing our diets all of us have been much more healthy and just overall feel better. Looking forward to learning more from Mary’s website.
Brother, I can’t tell you how impressed I’ve been with people who have completely removed celiac issues with this type of food change! I love it!
This sounds like a good challenge for me. I’ve been kind of in a rut food and fitness progress wise lately. Time to shake it up 🙂
Give it two weeks and you’ll be shocked!!
I’ve been looking into gluten free diets because my gut has some fun problems, not as bad as some other people’s but definitely a bother. So this comes at a great time! Before diving head first, do you have any resources I can read/watch to learn about Paleo and some of these diet-related issues? My wife is a nurse so it would be helpful for both of us to have some more understanding before diving in!
Loved the show! This episode was fun!
Definitely check out Mary’s site – PaleoChef.com. Also check out her Instagram which will make you salivate!
Awesome, awesome, awesome! Thank you for that podcast Chris and Mary. That came at a great time we are try about especially for one children has trouble with gluten.
Did someone say bacon?
