Today was a banner day! We were able to move Nanny from the Neuro ICU to a rehab hospital. She has been opening her eyes, breathing some on her own, they sat her in a chair, and nodding to commands. But getting her out of ICU was the biggest step so far. We still have
Nanny is doing much better! Her eyes are open, she is breathing on her own, and she is nodding to questions being asked. She may be able to go to rehab as early as tomorrow. The main concern is still her kidneys and liver. We’re still not seeing what we would like out of them.

It has been a roller coaster ride! We had the fabulous news on Monday that the MRI showed a really good recovery in the future, only to hear that she might not make it through the night last night. With the good MRI news, we went ahead with putting in the trach and feeding tube.

Today we received great news! The MRI showed that there is no new damage other than the initial lesion. It also showed that her brain is healing. Because of that, the doctor feels that Nanny should have a really good recovery. Obviously not to what she was before, but back to having a decently normal
