Of the top posts, one is a guest post and again the Zig Ziglar’s Wheel of Life was in the top 10! It was posted in May of last year. It has been in the top 10 most months. As does my About and Subscribe pages. Special thanks to Michael Hyatt for his continued support, and all of those who help spread the word!

I dropped but I’m stoked about getting Platform!!! Thanks man!!! Hope everyone has a killer day!
@Joel Fortner That just shows how influential you are…get a new job and STILL make Top 10!
The trick is one word comments such as “Yeah!” And “Nope.” And “insightful!”
@Joel Fortner HAAAA!!!!….yeah
@Joel Fortner That’s insightful Joel 😉
@Skropp @Joel Fortner Unh-hunh.
@Joel Fortner Good luck with the new blog Joel! Look forward to learning more from you!!
@Joel Fortner I’m preparing for my potential future absence from The Blog here by developing a content spam program. Think “Tweetdeck for Livefyre” that lets me load random comments and insight and posts at set intervals throughout the day. Comments will usually start with innocent phrases like “I’ve said it before…” and “I recall saying…” and so forth. Not only will I be with The Blog in spirit, but in spam as well. Might be something to consider if I can get it up and running, Joel. 🙂
@Jon Henry @Joel Fortner I think already beat you to it Jon… HA!
At least custom desk plates didn’t make it to the top ten this time! LOL
@Lily Kreitinger Yeah, he didn’t last month either. I pulled up someone else after to take his place. Thank you guys for helping me to keep them flagged.
@Chris LoCurto I’m just giving you grief…
@Jon Henry @Joel Fortner HAHA. Love it Jonathan! Great idea…just might work! Haha
@Jon Henry @Joel Fortner BAH!!!!!! Let me know how that works.

@Chris LoCurto Oh, what do you know? It works great.
@Jon Henry @Chris LoCurto So now we know who’s behind “resume writing” and “wooden bedroom furniture” HA!
@Lily Kreitinger @Jon Henry HAHAHA…should’ve known!!!
@Lily Kreitinger @Jon Henry @Chris LoCurto Haha no, he’s tricked us. Jon Henry is a spam commenter! Haha. And we all thought he was a commenter! Well played Jon, well played! Haha
I love it! So where are you potentially going?
@Joel Fortner I have a heart to make workplaces suck less, and have been brooding a project (or series of projects) along that line.
@Jon Henry @Joel Fortner I think you just found your tag line… “Making workplaces suck less” I like it!
@Joel Fortner Especially you, Joel! How is your launch going so far?
Well, it’s launched! Considering @Jon Henry left a nice comment, I’d say its a total success!!! It’s also had about 10 social shares which is pretty darn good for the first day in my view. I’ll take it. Target audience traffic, comments and shares will come with time. Did you read today’s post?
@Joel Fortner @Jon Henry Love the site, Joel! It looks great! Just “dropped by” and found the info very helpful!
@skottydog @Joel Fortner @Jon Thanks man! And thanks again for sharing the post. Hope to keep providing solid info.
We’re with “The Blog!!” thanks Chris! Ive gained sooo much more from commenting on here than I could ever give! Looking forward to killing it with Platform!! Thanks!
@Skropp Good luck with the new blog too Mark. Woohoo you guys are on fire here!
@Lily Kreitinger Thanks Lily. The blog is just the beginning. Gotta build a Platform, right?
@Skropp @Lily Kreitinger I don’t think you’ll have a problem my brother!
@Chris LoCurto @Lily Kreitinger Thanks Chris! I’m sure I’ll have struggles, but with pals like you and the rest of the Top 10, we’ll git’r done! (and I’ll just tweet you and figuratively cry on your. Shoulder when it gets tough, haha!)
@Skropp @Chris LoCurto @Lily Kreitinger LOL. You’re going to rock Mark!
These posts seem to almost always apply to something that I am working on at the time. Grateful for the resource and the community of commenters as well.
@Domerskee Wow!! That’s excellent to hear!! I should probably just ask you what your working on so I can get more content. 😀
@Chris LoCurto well … since you asked 😉 One of the big things on my plate right now requires (by Federal Law in this case) input and participation from a variety of departments in our organization. The hard part is that it goes beyond agreement or even “buy in”. It is Federal Law after all. It requires gaining actual participation by folks I have no control and very little leverage over.
@Domerskee Geez. Where’s the accountability? In other words, who’s over all of it?
Challenging. These types of projects are one of many reasons why we should proactively develop relationships across the organization we’re in. Coffees chats and hallway walks are very important in my book.
@Joel Fortner Haha, that kinda stuff isn’t allowed in my job Joel, its called slacking and wasting time!
@Skropp @Joel Fortner @Chris LoCurto While I have been here for a long time I am fairly new to the job position I am in. I feel like I am still the a phase of building equity with the senior administration (I work on a college campus and this includes both the staff and faculty sides of the house).
I am hoping to get more voluntary cooperation without resorting to going to the top. Good reminder about using coffee chats, etc. It s a great excuse for “slacking and wasting time”. 🙂
I am sure there is a lesson here but I guess I wish some folks would see this process as important rather than just a nuisance. I am realizing it will be a drawn out process rather than a quick one. Thanks for the tips and support.
@Domerskee @Skropp @Joel Fortner Just remember that influence is everything. If you want people to do something, you have to influence them into doing it. Then reward them for doing the right thing. Please repeat what they are rewarded for.
Great work from everyone interacting! Keep it coming! Thanks to you Chris for your continued input in our lives.
We’ve missed you Misty!!
@Lily Kreitinger Thanks Lily! I have missed it too, in more ways then one…two months in a row. I am facing some challenges right now that are making life difficult. Please pray for me if you think of it…I could use it!
Definitely will! Hope things turn around soon!
@Misty Gilbert @Lily Kreitinger PRAYING!!!!
@Misty Gilbert Prayer delivered! Best wishes.
Make that two prayers Misty. I am going through some difficult times also the last 7 months. I’m not sure what your current difficulties are, but I know God has good plans for us all; every set back is really a set up for something great. As a father of two boys, I intentionally direct their lives and know whats best for their futures, I am confident that our heavenly Father is doing the same in our lives with the same love that drive me. Hang in there Misty, good things are coming!
@TroyD Thanks TroyD!
@Chris LoCurto @Lily Kreitinger Thank You @Chris LoCurto & @Lily Kreitinger !!!
@TroyD You got ’em as well Troy!!
@Misty Gilbert Praying!
@cabinart Thank You friend!
@Misty Gilbert Prayers going up
@Misty Gilbert Praying for you.
@TroyD Praying for you too.
@Misty Gilbert @TroyD Joining in on the prayer front. Fight on friends, and my prayer for you is that God would make His face to shine upon you, and that he would open his hand and set you in a wide open space, and extend your territory. Yesterday. Amen. 🙂
@TroyD Praying for you also, Troy.
@Misty Gilbert Thanks Misty!! Thank you guys for blessing so many!!
Hurrrrraaaaaayyyyyyy! Thanks so much Chris! I’m so excited! I love this blog and the amazing people it gives me access to. You guys rock!
@Aaron Nelson You are part of making it happen every day Aaron!!! Thank YOU!!!
Thanks, Chris! Glad to be a part of the tribe! You guys are some of the best people I’ve met since Al Gore invented the internet! Can’t wait to dig into “Platform”!
Chris, I noticed that a couple of your Top Ten Post for the month were from days you were off! As I’ve mentioned before, you know your blog rocks when some of your best activity occurs when you’re not even there.
Or, maybe we’re trying to tell you something else….ha ha!
Proud to say, “I’m with THE BLOG”!
@skottydog It’s all because of you guys!!! I love that you are apart of this!!
This has become my morning stop before I start my day. Or I get to it right after I start my day. The positive energy, insight, encouragement and humor really charge my batteries. In the terms used by Gary Chapman, “Words of affirmation” is my preferred “language of appreciation” and you guys definitely share a lot of those with me. Everyone here has taught me so much about overcoming obstacles and living life with purpose and passion! Thanks to all and let’s hear it for “The Blog”! Thanks Chris and REALLY look forward to reading “Platform”!!
@Lily Kreitinger No kidding… The Blog is a great way to start a day, given that what you do in the morning pretty much sets the tone for the rest of the day.
@Jon Henry @Lily Kreitinger Wow guys!!! That’s pretty cool!!!
@Jon Henry I’m reading Andy Andrews’ “The Noticer” and I totally agree with this:
“Wisdom that can change the very course of your life will come from the people you are around, the books you read, and the things you listen to or watch on radio or television.”
The Blog has provided me with such wisdom.
@Lily Kreitinger @Jon Henry That is a great quote, Lily! I feel the same way about this community. My morning routine is much the same. Coffee first, this site next….then mayyyyyyyybe I get around to MY blog! ha-ha!
If I skip a day here, I feel like I’m missing out on the full potential of the day. It’s like not going outside once all day.
@Lily Kreitinger I still can’t remember how I discovered the blog (which is odd, because it has been less than 3 months since I’ve participated), but that certainly holds true for our little community. I like being around people like @Joel Fortner and @Skropp … who both recently embarked on new projects. It motivates me to do the same (soon) and share in the experience here, which is an awesome feeling. I also respect those that have struggled lately, and recognize that this is a great place to banish any type of discouragement. This is a great place to be.
@Jon Henry @Lily Kreitinger @Joel Fortner @Skropp It’s only been 3 months?!?! Wow!! It seems like longer. (In a good way :-))
@Jon Henry @Lily Kreitinger @Joel Fortner I feel like I’ve been here a lot longer too! But alas, only like 3 months for me too!
And as far as my new project…it would be a dream still without this blog and all the encouragement from my new friends!!!
@Jon Henry You can’t remember how you discovered this blog…
God showed it to you 😉
@Lily Kreitinger It’s how I start my day too…and im glad Chris is two hours ahead of me so I CAN start my day with the blog when I go to work at 5 or 6am PST!
@Lily Kreitinger “Words of Affirmation” is my language also, Lily!
@Lily Kreitinger I totally agree Lily! After I my quiet time in the morning, the very next thing I try to do is crack open my laptop and hope to see a post from Chris – and then the thought provoking comments that come later. One of the favorite parts of my day. 🙂
Honestly, when Chris thanks all of his great commenters for their wisdom and enthusiasm, I don’t include myself in that description even though I’ve made the top ten almost every month since following. (not looking for pity praise here–seriously) I know I’m a beginner/novice/whatever you want to call me, so I don’t have as much wisdom to contribute. BUT I LOVE being a part of this community. They say you should surround yourself with those you want to learn from, become like, and who are ahead of the game–and that’s what I feel like I’m doing here. THANKS GUYS!!
@Laura Johnson Laura, that is EXACTLY how I feel about it! I gain far more than I ever contribute!
That’s what makes this group so great! We all have strengths and weaknesses that help and are helped by the others!!
@Laura Johnson @skropp are you guys kidding?! You are what creates this community. If you didn’t bring it each day, nobody would comment. I can’t thank you guys enough!!
@Chris LoCurto Chris, I said pity praise was off limits 😉
No really, thanks. Thanks for all you do for all of us–you’re inspirational!
@Chris LoCurto Ahhh the beauty of the Internet…I can lead people to believe I’m smarter than I am! Haha. Thanks Chris.
And taller…
@Lily Kreitinger Absolutely! You notice my pic on here is waist up? No hint of how short I am, haha
@Skropp @Chris LoCurto LOL that’s hilarious Mark!
@Laura Johnson Ditto Laura. And even if I could think of myself as an “expert” or more experienced person in something, the correct attitude to always have is one of ‘open to learn.’ Of never considering yourself as ‘having arrived’ – I also feel like you – I’m trying to surround myself with wise people. This is a great place to do that. 🙂
Nice! I love all you guys on here!
@RicardoEquips ditto!
@Chris LoCurto This blog of all the blogs I read and comment on has that strong community here. It makes me want to comment and talk. I haven’t been on here long, but I’ve grown quite fond of everybody on here! 🙂
@RicardoEquips @Chris LoCurto It’s awesome huh? The coolest thing I think is the support and ideas that go back and forth for the projects we all have! Its like a virtual mastermind group!!
@Skropp @RicardoEquips @Chris LoCurto There it is! That’s exactly what this is. I think for now on this blog is my official mastermind group. So far everybody in here has just added value to me in some way or another. That’s good stuff!
@RicardoEquips @Chris LoCurto Glad I get to be a benefit to someone 🙂 its so easy to feel like you really aren’t helping anyone when you get stuck in day to day life!!
@RicardoEquips See, I think the same thing! This is such a great community!!
@Skropp @RicardoEquips @Chris LoCurto So true Mark – it’s so easy to have a ‘heads down’ mindset when you’re in the middle of crisis or a season of trial. While you need to focus on where your two feet are going (the right direction) you still need to keep your head up to see who you can help.
I think it’s Zig Ziglar who says ‘You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.”
@Aaron Nelson @Skropp @Chris LoCurto Yep! He did say that!
Thanks for putting great stuff here on your blog on a regular basis. And Congrats to the winners!
@jonstolpe Thanks Jon! I appreciate it.
Had an early painting job this a.m. so I’m late to the Love Fest. . . thank you so much, Chris LoCurto! Thank you for your blog, for being a magnet for smart, caring and fun people, thank you for your wisdom and encouragement, thank you for your faithful posting that sets a great example for the rest of us. And thank you for the copy of Platform – I’m considering who I should share it with.
The list of top posts makes me laugh because I look at the titles and think, “Wow, that sounds interesting”. In spite of reading the blog daily and participating in the comments, I can’t remember what they are about!
It is a privilege for this regional artist from Quaintsville to hang around the great business minds gathered here.
P.S. And thank you for clearing up the mystery surrounding Custom Deskplates and Wooden Bedroom Furniture. Sort of. (Didn’t notice Resume Writing.)
Wow this amazing I don’t have to read the newspaper or a magazine in the morning your blog has replaced all that, now I’m looking forward every morning to that wonderful email in my phone when I wake up it is a great way to start my DAY!!!
Thanks for giving incredible value with your insight and wisdom, Chris. It is really amazing to see the “platform” your blog has created for a community of individuals who are looking for ways to mastermind, improve their business, share ideas, fellowship. I feel I have been “slacking” for the last few months when I look at the rockstar commenters, Skrop and Lily! Although because of my “project”, I have not been able to immediately comment many times, I can tell you this: for more than one year – your blog posts, your community, your podcasts, have inspired me to be a better me. Thanks for that.
To add to what @Lily Kreitinger was speaking about on wisdom changing the course of your life from the people you meet, the books you read, or what you watch on tv/radio, I will join in with what Charlie “Tremendous” Jones always said “The only difference in where you are today and where you will be five years from now are the books you read and the people you meet”! I blogged about “the people you meet” when I met the CEO of the 2002 Olympics (sat beside him a plane and interviewed him – Published article: and blog: https://alturl.com/wi5i5)
I feel that the commenters on this blog are qualified as the “people you meet”. I receive wisdom not only from the author of the blog (even though Chris, you provide a TON!) – but I personally have also been provided wisdom by the entire community.
It is brings value to me – and wisdom – to read the comments!
@LouiseThaxton @Lily Kreitinger Wow, I love that quote Louise!
“The only difference in where you are today and where you will be five years from now are the books you read and the people you meet”! That’s solid stuff. Sobering. We so have to be purposeful with whom and what we surround ourselves with, don’t we?
@Aaron Nelson @Lily Kreitinger Yes we do, Aaron. Most times those are areas we don’t consider significant – but the truth is -we are impacted and influenced by the books, blogs, magazines, etc. we read – and the people we are close to.
A bit late to the party, but congratulations to the Rockstars, you make it one heck (Can i say that?), of a beautiful community. Keep it up.
Chris – keep doing what you are doing, its great content, that gets straight to the core of the issues.
